 Scribble Scrabble, A Fun Way to Learn English

    I have to play this game for my assignment and it is SO much fun! The competitiveness inside myself triggered because of this AI called Marven 😂

I love this game because it taught me new words I haven't heard before or maybe I never know would exist! Here is the screenshot of my match result with the AI, yes I lost to Marven but I won't next time! (I won't promise it though haha)

As you can see, there are so many words and scrabble isn't as easy as it may seems, some of the words are those I'm familiar with, but the others? Words such as totes, wove, bale, lib, sowing, and nixes are quite odd in my ears when I try to pronounce them, so I tried to look them up for meanings and how to use them in a sentence, here are the results: 

1. TOTES

Used as a short form of totally to emphasize what you're saying. (Cambridge Dictionary)

For Example: "He's totes hot!" 

2. WOVE

Past simple of weave. (Cambridge Dictionary)

-to make cloth by repeatedly crossing a single thread through two sets of long threads on a loom.

For Example: This type of wool is woven into fabric which will make jackets.

-to go or make a path by moving quickly and changing direction often, especially to avoid hitting things.

For Example: She weaved through the crowd by her bicycle.

3. BALE

A large amount of something such as hay, paper, wool, or cloth that has been tied tightly together. (Cambridge Dictionary)

-to tie up something tightly into bales.

For Example: She was baling up the wool all day. 

4. LIB

Liberation: used especially in informal names of organizations that try to remove the disadvantages experienced by particular groups within society.

For Example: Women's lib

5. SOWING

To put seeds in or on the ground so that plants will grow. (Cambridge Dictionary)

For Example: His father is sowing the seeds at his garden.

6. NIXES

To stop, prevent, or refuse to accept something. (Cambridge Dictionary)

For Example: The film studio nixed her plans to make a sequel.
